Note: Many of these websites are also great all-around weather websites, so be sure to check out the entire site.
- UW MM5/WRF
- UW EnKF (Ensemble Kalman Filter)
- City of Seattle
- NCEP Models
- Weather Underground Wundermap
- This is a great interactive map that can show observations, radar, severe weather reports, the whole 9 yards. However, I mainly use it for accessing model data, particularly model data from the European (ECMWF) model, which is generally not publicly available. The Weather Underground pays a hefty fee to get it.
- Tropical Tidbits Models (ECMWF, GFS, NAM, NOGAPS, JMA) – also has great information for tropical meteorology
- Gouvernement du Canada Analyses and Modelling
- MeteoStar Extracted GFS Data (Seattle)
- (change city by entering in different ICAO – ex: KPDX for Portland, KUIL for Quillayute, etc.). A list of ICAO codes can be found here.
- GFS Ensembles (in Deutsch!)
- To change city, change URL. For example, Seattle is http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Seattle_USA_ens.png while Los Angeles is http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Los_Angeles_USA_ens.png. For cities with the same name in multiple states, specify the state. Ex: Portland, Oregon is http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_Portland_Oregon_USA_ens.png
- Environmental Modeling Center GEFS Plumes
- Penn State Weather e-Wall – Part of Penn State’s Weather Website – they have a ton of stuff besides models as well, so check them out!
- Earl Barker’s GRIB2 Weather Site
- WeatherBell HRRR Model
- Storm Prediction Center (HRRR, SREF, SREF Plumes, SSEO, RAP)
- IOWA State BUFKIT Meteogram Generator
- ESRL Weather Products
- COLA/Grads (models, meteograms, maps, etc.)
- NCAR RAP (Research Applications Program) Model
