WOW! It is awesome outside today. Bright blue skies, light winds, warm temperatures… it doesn’t get much better than this. If you are headed it to the beach today, make sure you put on a lot of sunscreen. And don’t forget to reapply as necessary! Monday will be similarly awesome, so if you work weekends, you’ll still have an opportunity to soak up the sun tomorrow.

A super weak cold front comes in Monday night, ushering a marine push that will help keep Tuesday’s highs near normal. But after that, we get downright toasty, as a strong, upper-level ridge settles over the area on Wednesday and strengthens Thursday, sticking around for Friday before slowly weakening over the weekend. We will have onshore flow off the Pacific which should prevent us from heating up too much, but many locations in Western Washington could still hit 90 on either Thursday or Friday, especially if they are away from the water.
