Morning!
What a beautiful start to our Thursday here in Seattle! Winds are light, visibility is great, the temperature is pleasantly pleasant, and I don’t see a cloud in the sky. We will have some clouds filter in as the day goes on due to another weak low pressure system approaching the area, but any showers and/or thundershowers will most likely be confined to the Cascades. We’ll flirt with our first 80-degree-day of July today. Yesterday we hit 79!
We’ll have a marine push overnight, meaning we’ll be greeted to cloudy skies to start our Friday. However, these will burn off as the day goes on, and we should have an awesome Friday afternoon to wrap up our work week. Expect highs to be a couple degrees cooler on Friday than today.
Weak ridging returns for the weekend, and we’ll have sunny skies once more. Expect more 80-degree flirting then, especially on Sunday.
Early next week looks seasonable with alternating sun and clouds and highs once again flirting with 80, but models are hinting at a significant warmup next weekend with highs soaring into the mid 80s. So if we fall flat on our face this week, there’s still hope on the horizon.
