Morning!
Yesterday sure was awesome! He hit 86 degrees at Sea-Tac, which was the warmest day since June 6. There were some beautiful thunderheads over the Cascades yesterday afternoon, and I could clearly see one from my house. Of course, we had our typical marine push overnight to cool us off, so this morning, Western Washington looks grey and overcast. We’ll break through the marine layer as the afternoon goes on here in the Puget Sound lowlands, but folks out by the coast may see overcast skies all day long. As of 11:53 am, most sites in the Puget Sound lowlands are in the 60s with light winds, but we should warm up into the 70s in the next couple hours.
The same will not be true for tomorrow, when a giant ridge of high pressure begins building off the West Coast. It will strengthen on Thursday and Friday, and those should be our warmest days of the month so far!
The weekend is now looking a little bit wetter than it was previously, but I’m sure many will welcome the opportunity to cool off after such a warm end to the week!
