I was awoken by the sound of thunder this morning! Thunderstorms in Western Washington are rare enough, and it is even rarer to be woken up by one.
The thunderstorm threat has ended for now, and we will continue to calm down as the afternoon goes on. We will be at least 10 degrees cooler than we were yesterday, with highs on either side of 70 degrees for most locations, colder near the water and further north.
Saturday, we continue our drying trend, and Sunday looks stunning, with blue skies and highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. We cool off again early next week to more average temperatures, but models are hinting at a major heat wave during the latter half of next week, with highs in the 90s for much of Western Washington.
I’ve enjoyed our nice, extended stretch of cool weather, but I wouldn’t mind a heat wave just to shake things up. 🙂
