Hey ya’ll! I hope Seafair Weekend is going swimmingly for all of you. I meant to post an extended Seafair Forecast Friday night but got caught up with a bunch of surprise guests, who were wonderful. Since there’s a bit of time before the Blue Angels begin here, let’s take a look at the most recent METAR from Sea-Tac airport. METARs are hourly surface weather observations that give a variety of information, such as the current temperature, dewpoint, winds, visibility, ceiling, and much more. The acronym translates from French as “Aviation Routine Weather Report,” and most METAR observations take place at various airports.

The main thing to look at here is the different cloud layers. We’ve got broken clouds 1700 feet AGL (above ground level), and another layer of broken clouds above that. It looks like the Blue Angels will once again be doing their low show!

We’ve got some thundershowers to contend with later this afternoon, but I just saw the Blue Angels, so I’ll talk about those later!
